At the Church Building
The past several weeks, I have had the privilege of spending several afternoons, and today, working at the church building. As we near completion, there is a lot of cleaning to be done, so I've gone over with Eric. I don't have a lot of time, so I won't write much, but if I don't do this now, I know I won't.
This is for you, Elizabeth!

Down an upstairs hallway before all the tiles were put in

Do not enter was because they had painted the handrails and part of the steps.

Don't ask me what these are because I was wondering that too.

Part of the pump house

They drained a lot of water out of the pond, which is a lot deeper than it looked.

Unloading celling tiles, I believe

These pictures are from the second week of February when we had snow.

A pretty picture

The credit for these pictures goes to Eric, who said that a picture down the space above the ceiling would be cool.

The light makes it fun to take pictures in the sanctuary.

Putting the last bit of stone on the last column!

Building the pump house

Tim and Paul also came over a few times before wrestling, and seemed quite helpful.

My job

Paulie

Anthony came. I haven't seen him much lately. He is growing up! He helped the guys put up the stalls in the bathrooms.

The pump house went up quickly, it seemed.

Scaffolding for the pump house

The lighting and open space in this picture are cool.

Cupboards upstairs waiting to be placed

Inspecting the building

The hardworking crew putting up the stalls in the bathroom

Some fun posing from Papa John, who spends lots of time at the church

Mr. Killy has to be mentioned-he keeps everything moving smoothly!

The church at night with the security lights on looks cool. I didn't have the 50mm lens at the time and the wind tried to blow me over, so the quality isn't great, but they still look cool.

Mr. Kepler putting the counter in

Max is pointing to where two pieces of counter were joined. You can't tell where the seam is; even when you know where to look it's hard to find.

Lunch break

Some sort of mud was put on the upper part of the columns, which looks very nice.

This seam will be invisible also

Last Sunday I went to the church with a group again.

A block sliding across the floor looked cool with its trail of dust

The sun shining in made for a cool picture of Amy

It is very windy there usually

Another shot above the ceiling

As I was taking pictures above the ceiling, I noticed a hole through which I could see my brothers and Ed working.

Cutest worker at the church!

Pump house almost done being built

Some of the cupboards are installed. Don't they look nice?

All of the ceiling tiles are now up, so I had to move one to take pictures.

Trim waiting to be unloaded

The guys who put the trim around the doorways did an excellent job, and though they aren't stained yet, it looks much more finished with them up.
Unfortunately, I neglected to verify whether I had put memory chips into my camera bag today, so I didn't take any. A bunch of guys came to put the roof on the pump house, and the flooring on the front part of the platform in the sanctuary was also done. It is bamboo wood, and it looks really nice. I enjoyed watching them lay it. The big yellow machine to clean the floor was tried out as well. The building looks a lot cleaner after the main hall was started being cleaned.
If you haven't been out there lately and have the opportunity, pictures and my poor descriptions aren't the same as seeing it in person.
